Kolkata:Sona Goldar from the City of Joy sashayed to the final round after crowned Indian Diva 2013, East, beating over 200 other girls.
Sona, a city model, will now vie for top honours with other finalists from different regions as Indian pageant winner and contender for Miss Universe 2013.
"Kolkata girls are the true representation of Indian womanhood. They are beautiful, talented, vivacious and yet epitomise the true dignity of a woman, It was a tough call," Marc Robinson, Director, Miss India Organisation, said.
Miss India Organisation is providing yet another exceptional
platform to young, talented and beautiful `belles` to win `Indian Diva 2013` and then vie for Miss Universe 2013 and have their names etched next to the likes of Sushmita Sen," Robinson, the internationally known pageant mentor, said.
Preceded by Chandigarh and New Delhi, Indian Diva contest will now progress to Bangalore in the roadmap to the finals in September in Mumbai.
"The winner of Indian Diva 2013 will represent the country at the prestigious Miss Universe 2013 pageant, held on November 9 in Moscow. We are positive the title will come India`s way again this time," Marc said.
