Telegu actor Ahuti Prasad dies of cancer

New Delhi: Telegu actor Ahuti Prasad passed away on Sunday morning. He was suffering from cancer. He was 57.

He was in a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was suffering from Colon Cancer from some time and has been suffering for the last few months. He is survived by his wife and two sons Karthik and Bharani.

Born as Adusumilli Janardhan Vara Prasad, the actor started his career with the movie 'Aahuti' in 1988, and the name from the movie stuck and he became famous as Ahuti Prasad. Since then, he has starred in over a 100 films, predominantly in Telugu. He has also worked in a Tamil and Hindi film.

His negative role in 'Nenu Ninnu Premistunnanu' won him many accolades including 'Nandi Award for Best Villain'.
