The reason newcomer Vinoth`s "Sathuranga Vettai" is an almost flawless film in the genre is because it succeeds in managing to con the audiences as well, more than once. Revolving around six episodes based on true incidents, the film reminds us of the times we`ve got conned in real life. It`s not a film about people who con but one about those who get conned, why they get conned and how they get conned.
Be it the cynical book lovers (here I mean Nancy Drew and Sherlock Holmes) or the ardent self-proclaimed cinema addicts—all are going to live the two-hour journey with our desi version of the international counterparts—`Bobby Jasoos`. The somewhat active and agile Bobby aka Bilkis Ahmed played by Vidya Balan makes you want to watch her move from one place to another in search of something (cues for case).
`Lekar Hum Deewana Dil` marks the grand entry of Raj Kapoor`s grandson Armaan Jain and popular South Indian actress, Deeksha Seth. Armaan has a whole family name he needs to live up to. Ranbir Kapoor, his cousin has already reached the top with appreciation coming from both fans and critics.
To come across a film with so many talented actors all under one roof is a delightful experience. `Chal Bhaag` is one of those hectically plotted adventure stories where the fast flowing fund of ideas and words indicate the presence of minds that understand the grammar of commercial cinema.
The genre of action thrillers has never been a strong point for Bollywood. With `Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty`, the promise of that changing were strong with slick action in the trailers. However, the pace of the movie is such that the audience has little to look forward to.
