‘The Queen’ Helen Mirren to ‘skip’ royal wedding

New York: Hollywood actress Dame Helen Mirren has revealed that she won’t attend Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding to be held this Friday.

The British actress, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Elizabeth II in ‘The Queen’, said she has no interest in watching the highly-anticipated royal wedding. Instead, she is planning to fly off to somewhere remote on the couple’s big day. "I’ll probably be in a little Italian bar somewhere and the football will be on" the New York Daily News quoted Mirren as telling the Daily Mail. "I’ll ask, ``Can you switch it over to the Royal Wedding?`` and they will say, ``What wedding?`` " she said. ANI
