New York: Kate Middleton may have looked dainty and fairy-like in her wedding gown but talks doing the rounds are that the dress bore a striking similarity with Grace Kelly’s wedding outfit. Royal Wedding fans couldn’t help noticing that both the brides wore dramatic gowns with similar V-shaped necklines and long white lace sleeves at their respective weddings, reports the New York Daily.
Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge had donned an ivory and white satin gazar with French Chantilly lace gown designed by Alexander McQueen’s designer Sarah Burton when she exchanged vows with Prince William. Kelly, the blond American actress had worn a similar looking wedding gown when she married Ranier III, Prince of Monaco in 1956. ANI
