London: Singer Cheryl Cole is all set to fly for the US this weekend for a romantic reunion with former husband Ashley to celebrate her imminent birthday.
And it was the sexy mobile phone pictures of a lonely Chelsea football ace that finally convinced Cheryl to make the journey.
Cheryl, whose 28th birthday is on June 30, is still reeling from her sacking from the US X Factor. But she chuckled when she received the saucy snap from her ex-husband of him posing in bed and saying how much he missed her.
The couple had been due to meet in the US before heading off to Cancun in Mexico for a romantic holiday.
But Cheryl has been struggling to make up her mind whether to travel after seeing snaps of Ashley flirting with sexy American babes. She even cancelled two flights.
“Ashley says there’s nothing in it. He even sent her pictures of himself alone in bed and told her he was waiting for her,” a newspaper quoted a source as saying.
“It’s ironic this is the thing that has finally convinced her to join him, as that’s how he was caught out being unfaithful,” the source added.
The source said: “Given the state Cheryl is already in, hearing something like this is not going to cheer her up.
“She is beginning to feel let down by the people she thought were closest to her.
“However, Ashley’s cheeky snap has convinced her that she needs to pull herself together.
“She’s a fighter and loves Ashley very much. She’s booked another flight to LA – and this one she’s determined to get on,” the source added.
