London: Pop star Cheryl Cole has reportedly reunited with ex-husband, footballer Ashley Cole, a year after they split following tabloid revelations of his extramarital affairs.
The `Parachute` hitmaker was recently booted out from the judging panel of the US reality TV show `X-Factor` and turned to Ashley for comfort, reported Sun online.
Fuelling further speculation of a rekindled romance, the footballer has started wearing his wedding ring again.
The Chelsea striker has been spotted wearing the USD 400,000 diamond-encrusted band and his 27-year-old ex-wife reportedly visited him at his mother`s house in Essex over the last weekend.
The couple decided to give their relationship a second chance after the 30-year-old phoned Cheryl to comfort her after her unceremonious sacking last week.
"It`s his way of saying to Cheryl that she is his only true love and he thinks they are close to getting back together. Ash is convinced they have a future once again as husband and wife," said a source close to Ashley.
Their divorce was finalised last September after just three and a half years of marriage.
