London: South African fast bowler Andre Nel has been exposed as a love cheat after his girlfriend in London found that he was married with a child on the way.
According to the Telegraph, Nel was reaching the end of his six-month contract with Surrey when he met Jelena Kultiasova at a nightclub in London.
Kultiasova revealed that the 33-year-old had chased her after they exchanged numbers at the celebrity nightclub Movida on September 3.
“He called me that night to see if I got home okay. The following day he went to play golf with his friends but he kept calling and texting me to meet him that night, so we did and went back to his place,” the newspaper quoted Kultiasova, as saying.
She said that Nel, who has returned to South Africa, had promised to return to England in six months, and continued to call her up to six times a day.
“He said he wanted to spend every second he could with me to win me over, and he always backed his words with actions,” she added.
Kultiasova further said that she had confronted Nel after she found out on the Internet that he was married.
“He said the marriage is on and off, though they live together. I told him then that I wasn’t going to get myself involved in this situation and we were done,” she said.
When confronted by South Africa’s Times newspaper, Nel admitted the affair, and said: “Yes, we did have sex twice, or three times, possibly - and that’s it, honestly.”
“I have told my wife. She is very angry, but this is an issue I need to sort out on my own as quietly as possible,” he added. (ANI)
