Mel Gibson finally settles divorce case with estranged wife Robyn
London: More than two years after splitting officially, actor Mel Gibson has reportedly reached a divorce settlement with his estranged wife Robyn.
Robyn`s lawyer Laura Wasser recently announced in a Los Angeles court that the former couple has reached full agreement on the terms of their split, in particular, their property settlement, according to TMZ.com.
Lawyers for the pair are drafting the final paperwork and the judgement is expected to be entered at the end of August, making the divorce official, reports the Daily Mail.
The 55-year-old actor is now said to be worth around 800 million dollars and is reported to own three homes in Malibu, an island in Fiji and a ranch in Costa Rica.
Under the laws of California, community property - which includes earnings - is divided 50/50.
The couple``s marriage was said to have broken down three years earlier in 2006 after Gibson was arrested in Malibu for drink driving.
Robyn filed for divorce in 2009 after 28 years of marriage, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
