No tricks and honesty are important in relationships: Diaz

Los Angeles: Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz surely knows a thing or two about love and relationships, where there are some rules which can always be broken. The 37-year-old beauty, who is currently in a relationship with baseball star Alex Rodriguez, has dated a string of Hollywood stars including actor Matt Dillon, singer/actor Jared Leto and pop star Justin Timberlake, Parade magazine reported.

"I think that the rules in relationships are: no tricks, honesty, communication, treat people the way you want to be treated, unconditional love," Diaz said "Those are the things that I think are important. But, you know, rules are made to be broken," she added. In keeping with her new film `Shrek Forever After`, Diaz also throws light on her onscreen animated character in the film. "Fiona has always been about `this is who I am, and I`m not going to change` ever since becoming her true ogre self. I connected with that spirit from the very beginning. because I think that`s the way to live," she said. "I`ve definitely always been strong-willed. You have to believe in yourself," Diaz added. IANS
