Sinead O’Connor pulls plug on marriage for second time in one month

New York: Following her suicide bid earlier this week, Sinead O’Connor has ended her marriage for the second time in a month to child therapist Barry Herridge.

The troubled Irish singer got married a month ago but split from Herridge, 38, after 16 days.

They had a reunion last week, but things have ended now for good.

“His association with me became something very bad for his life,” the New York Post quoted her writing on her website.

“And slowly since we were married I became very ill as result of what was done to my husband and I was unable to cope. And became depressed...”

The 45-year-old star, who has been married three times before now hopes to get on with her life.

“The marriage [is] untenable so that it is now over.

“I will never again associate myself romantically with anyone as I could not bear to see these things done again to someone I love.

“I’m gonna be me. And if anyone doesn’t like that they can seek therapy.

“Because I am wonderful. Exactly as I am,” she wrote.
