London: She is Coldplay frontman Chris Martin`s wife for seven years now but Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow says that her marriage is "not perfect".

The 38-year-old actress said that their busy schedules as successful stars and the pressure of fame means that they have to work hard at their relationship, reported Femalefirst online. "Chris and I have our ups and downs - a long relationship takes a lot of twists and turns. We both have a lot going on so we just have to make it work," said Paltrow, who has two children - Apple, seven, and Moses, five, with Martin. The Oscar-winning actress said that she and the `Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall` singer keep their marriage on track by being open with each other and being as "normal" as possible. "I am very happy to support anything that Chris is doing and vice versa. I think the reason it`s worked so far is because we are very open with each other and communicate well. I think in many ways I`m a traditional wife. I believe that I have a responsibility to make a home and protect my family." PTI
