Los Angeles: Actress Fran Drescher and her Indian-origin boyfriend Shiva Ayyadurai have tied the knot.
'The Nanny' star exchanged vows with the academic during an intimate ceremony at their US home, Drescher's representative confirmed to a magazine.
Drescher, 56, first met 50-year-old Ayyadurai over a year ago when he gave a talk at an event hosted by spiritual guru Deepak Chopra.
Last year, the actress hinted she was thinking about heading down the aisle and even expanding their family.
"We've both been married, and we don't need to get married. But life will unfold and we shall see. I've done the big wedding, and I have nothing against marriage at all. I think it's particularly nice if you're having children... We have to evaluate whether we feel we're too old (to have kids) or if we could still do it," she had said.
Drescher was previously married to her producing partner Peter Marc Jacobson for 21 years until their divorce in 1999, and he later revealed he is gay.
