Gadgets, Dinner, CDs: Gift ideas to make your dad feel special this Father`s Day
A father is an inspiration, a friend, a philosopher and a child`s guide.
He sets an example, acts as a bulwark against threats, and contributes to a child`s life in innumerable ways.
Father’s Day was founded in Spokane, Washington at the YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd, who was born in Arkansas. She was the daughter of Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart.
In India, this concept of dedicating a day to fathers was initially not very popular. However, eventually the idea was chiefly appreciated by those who had no much time to spend time with their parents.
June 17 is observed as Father`s Day in India. Let`s make it special for the first man in a child`s life - his/her father and show him how much you care for him by making this day special.
Here are a few gifts that you can present to your dad and impress him by planning something special for him this Father`s Day:
Gift a collage
This is a really wonderful idea. Collect a few pictures of your dad, say of his school pics, graduation day pics, family pictures and his outings with friends and make a nice collage out of it and gift him. He will surely be delighted with such a lovely and nostalgic gift.
