Every girl regards her bridal gown as the dress of her dreams. But this is not just any girl, nor is it just any wedding dress. A future Queen of England needs to factor-in massive considerations.
The dress which I have designed for Kate is inspired from the traditional wedding gowns. The color white signifies serene, simple and pure. To add a royal touch I have put sworoski and mother of pearl as embellishments. The silhouette of the gown is reflecting the modernity.

Meetika Jadwani, NIFT BangaloreLooking through Kate Middelton’s style sense, I’ve come to understand she loves the simple yet elegant look, and since this is a royal wedding, vintage elements were a must…
The dress I designed for the soon to be Mrs. William has a corset bodice, with fine net sleeves that wrap themselves softly only around the arms. The bodice is strapless and continues down to front hem of the gown, layered in net, and oxidized silver work, with patterns inspired from traditional Indian zardosi work, white pearls and roses, that begin dense at the bust and diminish to the roses and pearls at the hem. The dress is cut from the side and the layers of net will peek from the slits, giving the dress the volume it needs to complete the look. The back of the dress is cut down deep, and the bustle is a thicker net that rests daintily on top of the layers underneath. And finally, train of the dress has the same silver and bead work as the bodice but only till a few inches at its hem.

Khyati Aggarwal, National Institute of Fashion Technology, BangaloreKate Middleton to be “Queen of England” has been a fashion icon since a long time. She is seen showcasing more of demure dresses that suit her perfect frame.
I realize that she is an elegant woman with a classic smart and reserved fashion sense. Taking care of all the things above I designed a wedding dress for her.
This gown is pretty simple yet elegant. It has a corset bodice, which is strapless. It is ruched over the bust line and lower part of it has Swarovski and Pearl work on it in “v” shape. The fitted corset bodice cinches the waistline, accentuates the long torso and the curves and it continues till the bottom hem. The long, A-line and flowing train gives a beautiful look to the gown. The train is little fitted from the front but at the back it is much more opulent and long which gives a “Victorian look”. Layers of soft net will be added at the back under the train to give more volume and make it look more feminine.
There is zip closure on the back. The gown will be made out of silk chiffon material as it has rich shimmer; it’s a sheer fabric with a soft and a beautiful drape. I have also added a veil to it as it completes the look of a perfect bride. The veil will be made with soft net to keep it flowing with the gown.
