Six Thai hot-spots, authentic Thai cuisine and 'One Price, One Menu', this festival doesn't get any better says Avril-Ann Braganza
Attention all foodies and Thailand lovers! For the next 70 days until 31st May, you can feast on Thailand's delicacies at the fourth edition of the 'Thailand Splash and Spice Festival'. 40 high-end restaurants will be offering special deals to visitors in six Thai tourist hot-spots—Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Samui. Travellers will not only be able to explore authentic Thai cuisine, but can also try cuisine authentic to each region. However, with the 'One Price, One Menu' deals, all the various menus at the different restaurants will be unified by one common factor—they will all be authentically Thai.
Guests visiting stand-alone restaurants as well as restaurants within 4- and 5-star hotels, will be able to avail of a privilege programme called 'One Price Point Menu' that will offer lunch priced at Baht 749++ per person and dinner priced at Baht 1,499++ per person. Some of the restaurants and hotels include Hilton Hotel Sukhumvit Bangkok, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Dusit Thani Hua Hin, Avista Hideaway Resort & Spa–Phuket and Garden Cliff Resort & Spa, Pattaya
“Food and meals are a big part of Indian itineraries. I think that people will appreciate the special deals being offered so that they may experience Thai cuisine in a bigger way. Many Indian travellers are foodies who enjoy Thai cuisine and want to sample more of it. Many also need to experience Thai cuisine beyond street food and I think that the Indian traveller will appreciate the Thailand Splash & Spice Festival,” said Tourism Authority of Thailand, Mumbai director Soraya Homchuen.
Held annually, it was originally initiated by Tourism Authority of Thailand and VISA. Usually a month-long festival, this year it will be held for three months with Udon Thani in north eastern Thailand joining as well.
