Kyoto replaces Bangkok as `World`s Best City`
London: Kyoto, a city on Japan`s Honshu island, has been named the `World`s Best City`.
Based on a survey by Travel + Leisure Magazine, Kyoto has replaced longtime winner Bangkok, which didn`t make it in this year`s top 10 list due to its recent political troubles, the CNN reported.
Despite repeat appearances in the number one spot, Thailand`s capital was voted out by the readers as the city was placed under curfew earlier this year during a military coup.
While Kyoto which is famous for its ancient temples and spring cherry blossoms, has been praised for its "emerging style scene that`s cutting edge".
Other cities that made it to the list of `World`s Best Cities 2014` are:

3. Florence, Italy
4. Siem Reap, Cambodia
7. Seville, Spain
