London: French First Lady Carla Bruni was spotted catching the attention of a little girl with her growing belly, while she was out on a public walkabout.
The 43-year-old wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has been keeping quiet about her pregnancy, is due in October.
The former musician, who wore a black dress and coat while on a walkabout with her husband, towered over the youngster who seemed to be fascinated by the would-be mother.
A large crowd greeted Bruni when she paid a visit to the gardens of the Elysee Palace in Paris during France’s Day of Patrimony, the day when all the state buildings are opened to the public.
The child, which will be Sarkozy’s fourth, will be the first born to a serving president during the entire history of the Fifth Republic, and is bound to create a media storm, but the former supermodel is determined not allow any photographs of the newborn to be published.
