Mumbai: Karan Johar’s ambitious project is taking a heavy toll on its lead actor. Hrithik Roshan, who is essaying the iconic character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan injured his back while shooting for an action sequence and was taken to the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai for treatment. Talking to a tabloid, an eye-witness said, “The actor entered the hospital, visibly in a lot of pain. The doctors attended to him almost immediately.” Reportedly, the hunk underwent MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). The film produced by Dharma productions is being directed by Karan Malhotra. KJo has put the film on hold as his lead actor has been advised complete bed rest for a minimum of a fortnight. Explaining how Hrithik injured his back, a source said, “Hrithik was supposed to lift a burly fighter, who weighs nearly 110 kg during the Agneepath shoot. This is a very important scene in the film. Perhaps he got a little carried away and decided to do it himself (without using a body double). Kar to diya lekin uske immediately baad uske back mein bahut dard hone laga. He was in a lot of pain and needed medical help (Though he lifted the stuntman and completed the scene, he experienced terrible pain). Lifting 110 kilos of a man obviously put a lot of pressure on Hrithik`s back.” However Papa Roshan had a different story to tell. He said, “Fighter ke scene ka koi problem nahin hua (Nothing went wrong while shooting the action scene). Hrithik has been working almost continuously on his TV show `Just Dance` and Karan Johar`s film `Agneepath`. He is back home, he just needs a little rest since he is overworked.”
