Kate Upton: To gain confidence, don`t starve yourself

Los Angeles: Model Kate Upton says confidence does not come from starving oneself to get a perfect figure and that she would never do that.

"I don`t want to starve myself. I still want to hang out with my family and be a normal girl. You have to be confident, and that doesn`t mean starving yourself," dailymail.co.uk quoted her as saying.

The 20-year-old, who has shot for the cover page of Vogue magazine`s November issue, is impressive in a backless black dress.

She says she would use magazines to have a positive influence on people.

"I think it`s important to look at magazines and think a healthy lifestyle is attainable. Now that the fashion industry likes the idea of me, I`m happy if I can have an influence," she said.

For the magazine, she was clicked by ace photographer Steven Meisel.
