Katy calls hypnotherapy rumours 'weird'

London: Katy Perry has denied reports that she is undergoing hypnotherapy to quit smoking before her marriage with Russell Brand.

A news daily had earlier published a story claiming that the singer had told her friend that she smoked to bust pre-nuptial stress.

She was quoted as telling her friend: "I`m stressed out with the wedding and I keep smoking to calm my nerves. I do it even though I know it is really bad for me and I know I need to stop. So I`m thinking I am going to have hypnotherapy to help me get over it."

However, Perry has said that the report is false.

"Weird story about hypnotherapy, smoking & wedding. It`s all made up! It`s bad, of course!" a news daily quoted her as stating on Twitter.
