Melanie Sykes enjoys being 40

While many women feel that their career stalls when they hit the 40-landmark, English TV presenter-model Melanie Sykes has no such woes and says her life is more happening at this juncture.

London: While many women feel that their career stalls when they hit the 40-landmark, English TV presenter-model Melanie Sykes has no such woes and says her life is more happening at this juncture.
Sykes, whose fiance Jack Cockings, 26, proposed to her on her 42nd birthday in August, is a mother of two. "We talk about 40 like it`s this huge landmark - you`d think that women are expected to wake up unattractive or drop off the face of the planet. There are loads of fantastic-looking women in their forties - they`re not just in movies," the sun.co.uk quoted Sykes as saying. "I love being in my forties. It`s a great time in my life right now and I`m engaged to an amazing man. But I was happy before my fiance Jack came along, too," she added. IANS
