Washington: Liam Neeson has revealed that he stood under freezing showers for seven minutes at a time, in order to prepare himself for super-cold conditions in Canada while filming ‘The Grey’. The 59-year-old actor is playing the lead role in the movie, which is about a team of oil rig workers who find themselves being attacked by wolves in Alaska.
“I remembered seeing a documentary about this crazy Brit who swims in the Antarctic, from iceberg to iceberg,” a website has quoted the actor as saying.
“He would stand under freezing cold showers for 10 minutes, so I thought I’d do that. I got up to seven minutes. When we were filming in Canada, it was minus 40 degrees - and it worked.”
However, the ‘Taken’ star admitted that he has not revealed his secret coping technique to the other cast members.
“I didn’t tell the other cast members what I’d done. There are some secrets you’ve got to keep to yourself,” he added.
