Shefali turns glamorous for `Kuchh Luv Jaisaa`

Shefali Shah says the `heroine` in Bollywood is expected to look good and beautiful.

Mumbai: Actress Shefali Shah, who will be seen in a slim and glamorous avatar in Barnali Ray Shukla`s `Kuchh Luv Jaisaa`, says the `heroine` in Bollywood is expected to look good and beautiful and this film has helped her explore a new side of her.
"Looking good is part of my job. There is a certain responsibility or expectation from a `heroine` in Bollywood. She has to be good looking...beautiful, desirable, attractive, beautiful, trim, fit, well-dressed, great hair, make-up. This part helped me rediscover this side of me," Shefali told reporters in an interview. "People connect me with intense roles and performances, a thinking actress who only does serious work. But there is this side of me which no one has explored. This film has done it...it took someone like Barnali to visualise me as Madhu in the film," Shefali said. The film revolves around Madhu (Shefali), a housewife, who is thrown together with a stranger, Raghav (Rahul Bose) a criminal, who she thinks is a private detective. With this begins a one-day adventure of the duo and it changes their lives forever. For the role of a housewife, Shefali had undergone a makeover as part of the story and followed a diet and exercise regime to lose 12 kgs. "I had to do exercising, gyming, eat salad, juice and fruits. I had to maintain a weight of 51-52 kgs for the film. And in real life too, I will ensure that I maintain the mark of at least 53-54 kgs of weight," Shefali said. PTI
