Winstone quits drinking

London: Hollywood actor Ray Winstone has quit partying especially when he shoots movies because his on-set hangovers are unbearable.

The "Departed" star loved indulging in late-night drinking sessions during filming when he was a young man, but he struggles to cope with the after-effects as he grew old, reports dailystar.co.uk.

"There was too much boozing when I was younger. In the old days, I`d work in the day, drink into the small hours and then start all over again the next morning," he said.

"I had to give that up in the end. I didn`t touch a drop for the entire shoot of `Tracker`. I needed to keep my head clear. It took me a long time to learn discipline," he added.
