With just a few days left for the North America's “first and largest Auto Show” which runs from April 3 – April 12 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, car makers are all geared up to showcase their vehicles.
The New York Auto Expo this year will see style, technology, power, and design come together in one place.
Close to one thousand latest new cars and trucks are expected to be showcased at the Auto Show which will be a combination of out-of-the box ideas and innovation in technology.
While auto enthusiasts all over the world are anticipating big new car debuts at the New York Auto Expo 2015, there are five models which might capture public imagination.
The all-new 2016 Jaguar XF model will make public motor show debut in New York. However one week ahead of its debut, the car will make an “extraordinary journey across London” on March 24. The car was first launched in North America in 2008 and underwent a complete redesign for the 2016 model year. The new Jaguar XF will be the second Jaguar model to feature the brand’s advanced aluminum-intensive architecture. The technical details of the car will be released during the Auto show. While we have full faith upon Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, who said that the all-new Jaguar XF will be the “best looking car in its class” which will be a combination of elegance and “with proportions that imbue a great sense of integrity”.
All-new Lexus RX crossover
Lexus all-new RX crossover will make its debut at the New York Auto Show. The RX model, was one of the first luxury crossovers in the market when it was first launched 17 years ago in 1997. Though there is limited knowledge about the details of the fourth generation RX as of now, it is highly speculated that the changes in the car will mostly be cosmetic. Lexus has recently released a teaser of the car without divulging much details.
2016 Chevrolet Spark
General Motors will unveil the 2016 Chevrolet Spark. A lot of assumptions are being made in the car world after the company released the teaser of the 2016 Chevrolet Spark. The teaser image does not give any clue about the exterior of the car. However, the new car's headlamps are not similar to that of the now selling “clear glass jewel effect headlamps”. It is also expected that the new Chevy car will have a "sleeker” design and more “aerodynamic" without compromising much on its traditional design. The car company maintains that the “youthful whimsy” of the original Spark is “still in its genes”.
2016 Nissan Maxima
The 2016 Nissan Maxima is all set to make its debut at the NY Auto show amidst its continuous effort to claim its premium position in the sedan range. The car maker has recently released a TV commercial, giving out clear indications about the car's door handles, front grille, headlights and the panoramic sunroof.
2016 Cadillac CT6
There is a lot of hype around the Cadillac CT6. Perhaps this would be one of the most anticipated debuts of the New York Auto Show. The features of this car is clearer than the above mentioned vehicles. 2016 Cadillac CT6 will pack a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V-6 engine. It boasts of 400 horsepower at at 5,500 rpm and 400 pound-feet of torque.
