Ditto TV review: This OTT app will pleasantly surprise you

While the market is full of OTT content providers, it is time you have a look at– Ditto TV, India's first ever linear OTT TV platform.

Television world has seen a lot of changes lately – the change is not just in the content, it is about an entire paradigm shift.

With cutting edge technology, penetration of internet and the urge to know everything instantly, the new-age TV watcher is constantly looking for something new.

It is the same urge that pushes you to catch your favourite TV show or the long anticipated series without having to wait the day long till you reach home. Over-the-Top content (OTT ) is something that gives fuel to that urge of yours.

While the market is full of OTT content providers, it is time you have a look at– Ditto TV, India's first ever linear OTT TV platform.

Zee’s dittoTV is a promising player in the OTT segment and this I can say with full conviction after having spent some time on this App.

Thanks to the fast-paced lifestyle, watching TV is becoming luxurious. While time is one constrain, DTH subscription too seems futile when you are actually not spending time on it. But for OTT content like Ditto TV, you can choose to watch it at your own convenience.

Available on Android, Windows and iOS, the app has plenty of subscription options. You can install the App on multiple devices but you can only stream content on one device at any given time. You can also check out www.dittotv.com for a more detailed information.

If you just wish give it a try, just do it on a Rs 10/day access pack while for a one year subscription you will have to shell out Rs 1,299.

With over 125 channels, Ditto TV offers the maximum number of channels by any OTT player – and all of them are available live.

What's more fascinating is that on Ditto TV you can watch your favourite programme offline too. It is the only OTT player in the market that offers you content download. Besides, there are over 1000 movies, 4000+ videos, and 450+ TV shows ranging from the old to new.

The entire Zee bouquet is available on Ditto TV. I tried watching Colors, Sony, Sab, &TV, Zoom and I must say the content is really clean! It has a crisp User Interface, fine navigation with four ‘easy to go’ tabs – Live TV, TV shows, Movies and Videos. You also get an idea  about what’s on air as the TV channel comes with fairly detailed information.

Another very convenient feature that caught my attention was the persistent play feature. It allows the user to view his/her content on any device without having to go through the video again from start. So, if you left a video at 21.2 seconds, you can come back and watch the show exactly from the same counter.

The only bump in the app is the content list. What pricked a little is that it doesn't have a very long list of movies and some sport content as well.

Ditto TV is currently available in 190 countries including US, UK, UAE, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

While you may argue that the services are not free unlike some OTT players, I would say – use it once, for, the amount you pay is nothing as compared to the service it promises!
