Hollywood stars have always been fond of getting inked and making news with it. Some of them get tattoos of their spouse, children and beloveds on their body parts to show love and flaunt a statement wherein some just keep getting new tattoos and removing old ones. However, Bollywood isn’t far behind either. Many stars in Bollywood have caught up with this international trend of tattooing themselves to make news and get attention. Bollywood never lacks behind in following the footsteps of western celebs in order to look trendy and keep up with the international fashion. Here’s a look at some of the popular Bollywood celebs and their tattoos which made news.Actor Saif Ali Khan has the most interesting and talked about tattoo of all times in the Hindi film industry. He got actress Kareena Kapoor’s name tattooed in devanagiri on his left forearm soon after the two started dating after delivering a hit film ‘Omkara’ together. He showed his love and sincerity towards Kareena by getting the prominent tattoo of her name. His tattoo has inspired many youngsters in the country to follow the trend too. Actress Esha Deol has a spiritual tattoo, which is a ‘Gayatri Mantra’ on the back of her right shoulder. The Gayatri Mantra and Sanskrit tattoos have been a huge rage amongst youngsters. Amrita Arora, the younger sister of the item song queen Malaika Arora Khan has a tattoo on her back that reads, ‘Love Saves the Day’. Tattoos on the back and lower backs are considered sexy and women who have it love to show it off. It’s also a good way of getting some attention and for guys it goes out as a brilliant conversation starter. Bollywood hunk Sanjay Dutt has some great tattoos on his body. He has a portrait of Lord Shiva on his upper arm and a tattoo on his left forearm with a name of his wife ‘Manyata’. He also has names of his parents inked on his chest. The bold and Vivacious anchor Mandira Bedi has a rather an exotic tattoo - a Tibetan Om tattoo, which she got on her birthday. She`s got the Tattoo on her lower waist so that her "belly button acts as the chandra bindu (dot) above it", that is how she describes it! Recently, actor Vivek Oberoi has been contemplating getting a tattoo to surprise his wife Priyanka. Also, actress Kangana Ranaut got an angle tattooed on her ankle few weeks ago. Well, the summer is a good time to get a new tattoo and flaunt it. Coming from Hollywood, the trends is fast catching up in Bollywood and the young generation of the country!
