Valentine Special: Love, Chocolate bonding
A Valentine`s chocolate gift is an age-old tradition that is certain to capture the heart of your loved one. Giving a chocolate on Valentine`s day is an expression of passion. Ever thought, why chocolate stirs up so many feelings and emotions in us? Chocolate has long been coupled with passion, romance and love.
Valentine`s Day has many rumored beginnings with one of the most interesting being that the holiday is named after Saint Valentine, a priest who lived in 3rd century Rome.
However, the concept of love remained forever after him, and many young men would use the time to seek out and attempt to woo their sweethearts.
So where did the idea of giving chocolates on Valentine`s Day come from? From the moment chocolate was discovered, it was considered valuable and divine, so what better gift to give a woman? The first chocolate candies (as we know them today) were invented in the 1860s by a man named Cadbury, who was also the first to market them in a heart-shaped box for Valentine`s Day that same decade. I wonder if he knew at the time what a historic idea it would turn out to be.
Is there any better way to express your love than with a delicious, decadent, chocolate treat? To many of us, Chocolate is synonymous with Valentine`s Day. Both perfectly sum up the original intent of the day to express one`s heartfelt feelings toward a loved one.
Chocolate clearly says "I LOVE YOU!" It is more than food. It not only fills your belly, but also makes you feel soooo good. Chocolate is an expression of happiness, pleasure, love, ecstasy, fantasy ... chocolate makes us wicked, guilty, sinful and happy, all at one go.
Chocolate is a pin of Valentine`s Day, and for good reason. It`s a sinfully sweet treat, of course, but it also contains flavonoids, a type of antioxidant that has been shown to have health benefits for the very target of Cupid`s arrow—the heart.
Chocolate is even great for sexual life. It is believed that chocolate is an aphrodisiac and makes us feel good. Chocolate can also be used in the bedroom for more creative ideas. Sex and chocolate combined are certain to help you maintain a happy relationship.
Nothing melts heart on Valentine’s Day like chocolates. Whether your sweetheart prefers milk chocolates, the dark variety, the nutty treats, or chocolate truffles, these Valentine’s Day confections send a message of love. And while Valentine’s Day chocolates may not last long, the loving sentiment and memory of the giver`s thoughtfulness will.
It`s not that chocolates are a substitute for love. Love is a substitute for chocolate. The classic sweet seduction, this delightful selection is perfect for a Valentine`s Day party of two. A handsomely decorated white confection enrobing premium dark chocolates.
