SOFIA: Romania defender Dragos Grigore has signed for Bulgarian champions Ludogorets as the Razgrad-based side bid to strengthen their squad ahead of the Champions League`s qualifying rounds, the club said on Monday.
Ludogorets, who clinched their seventh successive league title with four games to spare in April, are keen to reach the group stages in the European competitions for a fifth time since 2013.
Grigore, capped 33 times by Romania, will join his new team mates at Ludogorets`s training camp in the town of Smolyan, which starts on Thursday.
He became Ludogorets`s second new signing after Lokomotiv Plovdiv winger Dimo Bakalov.
The 31-year-old, a key Romania figure at Euro 2016, previously played for Timisoara and Dinamo Bucharest at home, France`s Toulouse and Qatari
Al-Sailiya. At Ludogorets Grigore will join another two Romania internationals - defender Cosmin Moti and striker Claudiu Keseru.
