Haryana singer Harshita Dahiya shot dead in Panipat's Israna

A 22-year-old Haryana singer was on Tuesday shot dead by unknown assailants at Israna village in Panipat on Tuesday.

New Delhi: A 22-year-old Haryana singer was shot dead by unknown assailants at Israna village in Panipat on Tuesday.

As per reports, Harshita Dahiya was returning to her home in Delhi's Narela after her performance in Israna when she was attacked. 

"Her car was overtaken by four men, who were in another car at Chamrara village in Panipat at around 4pm," a police officer told reporters.

After overtaking the car, the assailants fired multiple rounds at her while she was inside the car, thus killing her instantly and fled the scene of the crime. 

Her body has been kept at the Civil Hospital in Panipat.

The police have registered a case against unknown people and are yet to ascertain the motive behind the killing.
