Nutritional Management Goals:
• Reduction of weight if overweight or obese
• Reduction in total fat, saturated fat( SFA) and cholesterol
• Consuming balanced adequate diet, rich in calcium, chromium, iron & zinc
• Medication if required for treating lipid disorder & controlling BP
• Lifestyle changes – increase in physical exercise, moderation in alcohol intake, no smoking, restricting coffee

Low Salt diet:

Reduce intake of :-
- Salt in cooking or at the table
- Salt preserved foods pickles, canned foods
- Highly salted foods such as potato chips, roasted peanuts & other nuts
- Spices & condiments such as ketchup sauces
- Cheese, peanut butter & salted butter
- Frozen peas
- Regular baking powder, ajinomoto
- Prepared mixes
