New Delhi: What do you usually do after a heavy workout? Well, we usually think of eating foods that are rich in protein and carbohydrates to best facilitate the recovery process. But one need to watch out on what they eat immediately after a workout as it might not be good for health.
Here are some foods which one must avoid eating after a workout:
If you are consuming raw veggies after a workout then stop doing so as they aren’t substantial enough to supplement that.
One should avoid consuming sugary drinks like canned fruit juices, fresh shakes or soda post workout as it will slow down your metabolism.
Though eggs are considered an ideal food post workout because of the protein content, but consuming saturated fats which are a part of fried eggs is not good.
Chocolate might give you the required energy after a workout but it is not good because of its high sugar and calorie content.
