New Delhi: Just like adults, children need to be physically active to stay in shape and remain healthy. Regular physical activity helps build and maintain strong, healthy muscles, bones and joints.Besides, physical activity also reduces stress and calms kids, making them happier and perform better in school.
In fact all children should be physically active for at least one hour a day. But they don't have to spend hours in a gym to be physically active. Parents can help by encouraging their child to find activities they enjoy, and building physical activity into family life.
So this Children's Day, Gympik, an online fitness discovery platform, has come up with five easy workouts for kids, focusing on their healthy life. Give it a look:
Jumping Jacks: It increases metabolism, strengthens joints and core muscles.
Squats: It helps improving body strength, legs, tighten buttock and core.
Marching in the place: It strengthens calves, leg muscles, and abdominals and opens up chest muscles.
Side to side hops: It strengthens calves and hips muscle.
Front kick toe touch: It improves balance and flexibility of trunk and legs.
Teaching kids about exercise is one of the many tasks parents do to keep their child healthy and happy.
