New Delhi: It was a bad day for a 22-year-old man from Surat as he was declared brain dead by doctors after he met a deadly accident.

His family consented to donate his vital organs like heart, pancreas and corneas, which includes saving the life of a 27-year-old woman from Ukraine, who was badly in need of a heart transplant.

This donation of his made history as the woman who received the heart became the first foreign national to get an Indian organ.
