Manipur makes it to Guinness Book of World Records for fitting hearing aids to 3911 people

New Delhi: Breaking the earlier world record of fitting hearing aids to 600 persons in 8 hours, Manipur has fitted hearing aids to nearly 4,000 people in the same time duration.

Reportedly, the northeastern state made it to the Guinness Book of World Records by fitting 3,911 persons with hearing aid in eight hours at a function held at Khuman Lampak indoor stadium in Imphal.

The Guinness officials witnessed the event through live webcast and then provided a provisional certificate which was sent to the state government.

The previous record was that of Gujarat created on September 17, 2016.
