3 days mourning declared in Haryana

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government has
declared three days state mourning from September 30 to
October 2, 2009 and public holiday on September 30, 2009 in
all the State Government offices including those of Boards,

Corporations and Educational Institutions as a mark of
respect to Rao Birender Singh, former Chief Minister of
Haryana, who breathed his last today at Gurgaon.

During the period of state mourning, the National Flag
will be flown at half mast throughout the State on all
buildings where it is flown regularly.

All the State Government functions shall stand
cancelled and there will be no official entertainment during
this period, an official spokesman said here.

The State funeral shall be held at Rewari on October 1,
2009.

Public Holiday will be observed on October 1, 2009 in
all the State Government offices including those of Boards,
Corporations and Educational Institutions located in Rewari
district.
