Aishwarya first celebrity to leave handprint in Dubai hall: Hindu

After having a Tulip named after her at last year's IIFA awards in Amsterdam, Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai has become the first celebrity to leave her handprint on the Dubai Studio City's Hall of Fame during the film festival this year.

Dubai, June 16: After having a Tulip named after her at last year's IIFA awards in Amsterdam, Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai has become the first celebrity to leave her handprint on the Dubai Studio City's Hall of Fame during the film festival this year.
"It is like leaving a part of myself here. I am extending my hand of friendship to Dubai," the former Miss World said on Wednesday.

The actor who has made international forays with her work in movies like 'Bride and Prejudice' and 'Mistress of Spices' had a Tulip named after her in Amsterdam, where the IIFA awards were held last year.

Often hailed as the most beautiful woman in the world with more than 17,000 websites dedicated to her name, Rai has represented India at the prestigious Cannes film festival.
