Anna Hazare suffers high BP, urged to take rest

New Delhi: Social activist Anna Hazare on Saturday suffered high blood pressure after he ended his 97-hour fast at Jantar Mantar earlier in the day. Doctors have asked him to take rest and not to speak.
Anna Hazare`s press conference scheduled for 5 pm was cancelled due to ill-health.
"The press conference, which was to be held at 5 pm at the Press Club has been cancelled due to the ill health of Annaji. His blood pressure has been high since morning," said an organiser.
Hazare is, however, expected to celebrate victory along with people at the India Gate in the capital at 6 pm.
The 72-year-old reformer was on a fast-unto-death seeking the formulation of a more stringent and effective anti-graft law.
