Asia lead Europe at halftime in All Star challenge

Beijing: China`s Ma Lin and Ma Long helped Asia to a 6-4 lead after the first two days of the inaugural All Star challenge against Europe, which will resume in Turkey in November.
The Mas both won two matches in the first leg against a competitive Europe team featuring world number six Vladimir Samsonov and Germany`s Dimitrij Ovtcharov, who was playing in place of injured compatriot Timo Boll.World number two Ma Long, who led his Ningbo team to the Chinese national title last weekend, beat Samsonov in three games on Wednesday to ensure Asia would take a solid lead to Istanbul for the second half of the contest on Nov. 10-11.
"I am on my way back to top form," Ma Long, who will be replaced by world number one Wang Hao in the Asia team for Istanbul, told a news agency.
