The unseeded Indo-Pak pair scored a 6-3, 2-6, 10-5 win to secure a quarter-final berth in the doubles event of the USD 663,750 hard court event, a part of US Open series tournaments.Bopanna and Quershi had lost to the Polish pair at last week`s Cincinnati Masters. Also advancing to the quarterfinals were Mahesh Bhupathi and Belarusian Max Mirnyi, who overcame a tough challenge from Frantisek Cermak and Michal Mertinak.The second seeded Indo-Belarusian duo beat the Czech-Slovakin pair 3-6, 7-6(1), 10-4 in their opening round encounter. No Indian is competing in the singles event. PTI
