Toronto: The Commonwealth Games in October in Delhi will be broadcast live by Canadian Broadcasting Corporation here, a senior official has said.
Coverage of the Games will be carried on CBC`s main network, said Bharat Kaura, Joint Director General (protocol) of the Organising Committee Commonwealth Games.
About 2 billion people would watch the games through satellite channels all over the globe from October 3-14, he said.
The Canadian public broadcaster has telecast every Commonwealth Games since the 1954 edition of the competition in Vancouver, he added.
Canada had bagged 86 medals, including 26 gold, at the 2006 Games in Melbourne, Australia.
Full broadcast schedules and additional details will be released in the coming months, CBC said.
The Games are scheduled to be held in Delhi from October 3 to 14.
