Chess expert A R Khan dead
AR Khan, a chess expert died at his residence here after a protracted illness, family sources said.
Patna: AR Khan, a chess expert, who had produced and promoted several national and international ranking players and also founded Bihar State Kabaddi Association, died at his residence here after a protracted illness, family sources said.
Khan, 72, died last evening.
Khan, a bachelor, was also a referee for Kabaddi matches at the national level, besides being the secretary of Bihar Chess Association for a decade before being appointed Joint secretary of All India Chess Federation (AICF).
Kumar Vijay, secretary of Bihar Kabbadi Association, Mrityunjay Tiwari, Bihar Players` Association president and Ajay Narayan Sharan, Bihar Cricket Association Secretary were among those who condoled the death of Khan.
