New Delhi: India`s Joshna Chinappa charged to success in the German Ladies Open without dropping a game -- beating Swiss opponent Gaby Schmohl in the final of the USD 9,200 WISPA World Tour event at the Squash Centre in Saarbrucken.
The second seed from Chennai, Chinappa dismissed the unexpected finalist Swiss number one Schmohl 11-6, 11-7, 11-6 in just 22 minutes last night to earn the fourth WISPA Tour title of her career.In the semifinal, she had defeated French qualifier Melissa Alves 11-5, 11-5, 11-6 in 16 minutes, while she routed the challenge of eighth seeded England`s Carrie Ramsey 11-3, 11-8, 11-3 in 18 minutes in the quarterfinal.In the first round of the main draw, she had earned a hard fought victory over Czech qualifier Veronika Koukalova 11-6, 11-7, 14-12 in 21 minutes.
