Wentworth: Indian golfer SSP Chowrasia carded a disappointing five-over 76 to slip to the
tied 39th spot after the third round of the BMW PGA Golf Championship here. The Kolkata-pro, the lone Indian left in fray after Shiv Kapur and Jyoti Randhawa missed the cut, has an overall total of three-over 216. Chowrasia made an ominous start as he stumbled to a bogey on the very first hole and dropped another shot on the third hole. A birdie on the eighth hole raised hopes of a turnaround but a back-nine slump put paid to any chance of a comeback. Chowrasia couldn`t strike a single birdie on the back nine and found bogeys on the 11th, 12th, 14th and 17th to end a disastrous day. England`s Chris Wood took the sole lead after a third-round 67 took his total to eight-under 205. Following him a couple of strokes behind were Swede Robert Karlsson (62) and another Englishman Danny Willett (70). PTI
