New Delhi: The Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday welcomed yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s decision to break his nine-day-long fast against corruption.
"It is a good news that Ramdev has broken his fast," Congress general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said here responding to the development.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy blamed the Congress for aggravating the situation in the country.
"The Congress is trying to portray those who are fighting against corruption as enemies of the nation," Rudy said.
Ramdev was observing a fast for the past nine days to protest against corruption and black money issues. He was admitted to the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences in Dehradun on Friday after his condition deteriorated at his ashram in Haridwar.
