Zagreb: Marin Cilic and Ivan Ljubicic will
head the Croatian team in their Davis Cup quarter-finals with
Serbia at home next month, coach Goran Prpic announced on Tuesday.
Cilic and Ljubicic, the world number 12 and 15
respectively, will be joined by Antonio Veic and Ivan Dodig,
he said. Ivo Karlovic, the world number 33, and Nikola Mektic
(292) are also in the squad.
Ljubicic, 31, makes his return to the squad after he
opted out of the annual international team tournament in 2007.
Croatia won the Davis Cup for the first time in 2005 and
reached the semi-finals last year.
Serbia`s team will be headed by Novak Djorkovic, the
world number three, joined by Viktor Troicki (42), Janko
Tipsarevic (45), Nenad Zimonjic, who tops the doubles
standings and Ilija Bozoljac (152).
The tie takes place in Split from July 9-11.
