New Delhi: Hosts Delhi played a fierce all round game to trounce Tamil Nadu 80-48 in a lop-sided contest in the 61st IMG-Reliance National Basketball Championship here.

Indian women`s captain Prashanti Singh led the way with 23 points for the home team.

Karnataka and Kerala renewed their rivalry in both the boys` and girls` section as they faced each other in back to back games at the Talkatora stadium.

Kerala girls emerged victorious 75-46 while boys edged past their opponents 88-82 in a close game.
After a stuttering start, the Chhattisgarh women also found their stride in the competition as they edged Punjab 44-39.

The Uttar Pradesh men finally hit a winning note against Tripura, going on an offensive to win 111-32. UP`s balanced effort was led by Rakesh Yadav (19), Vikram Parmar (18), and Sunil Pal (16). Prasanjit Roy scored 17 points for Tripura. Madhya Pradesh men also faced an easy opponent in their game against Assam, winning 53-30.
