Jammu: Various organisations on Friday held
demonstrations here in support of social activist Anna
Hazare`s movement against corruption.
Raising slogans in favour of the Lokpal Bill and state
Accountability Commission and Vigilance Commission, over 300
students of Jammu University held demonstration at the campus.
They also took out a march at the campus in support of
Hazare, whose fast-unto-death entered the fourth day today.
Members of Shri Ram Sena, a right-wing group, held
demonstrations and decided to give full support to Hazare`s
call of `jail bharo`.
Sene state president Rajiv Mahajan has appealed to the
Prime Minister to introduce the Lokpal Bill as desired by
Hazare against corruption.
He also appealed to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to
shut out all those government officials, bureaucrats and
ministers against whom there were allegations of corruption.
National Secular Forum (NSF) also took out a rally in
Jammu. Reports from Poonch, Kathua and Kishtwar said that
various organisations also held similar demonstrations.
