Margao: Defending Champions Dempo after their uninspiring start is looking to bounce back after their defeat against East Bengal when they take on JCT on Saturday in the third round of the I-League, played at Nehru stadium, Fatorda, Margao.

Dempo have made a very slow start to their campaign picking up just one point from their first two matches.

With several of their regular players absence, Dempo managed to contend East Bengal until a misunderstanding between defender Domnic Noronha and Keeper Laxmikant Kattimani allowed Tolgay Ozbey to sneak with the ball and score the
winner in the 48th minute.

Joaquim Abranches injury against Churchill Bros has punctuated their attack and Ranty Martins had to fall back constantly to support their midfield in their last match against East Bengal will have to carry much of the load
infront.

Their midfield also lacked the creativeness to open up
the rival defense in the absence of Roberto Silva.

Now that Roberto has started training with the team, his presence will influence the team to do better.

Dempo`s coach Armando Colaco is not panicking after their poor start.

"It`s just the start of the I-League. Nothing can be said right now. There is a long way to go," he said.

"Half of my players are with the India team and Joaquim Abranches and Valeriano is also on injured list the results are expected but with Roberto Silva expected to play on Saturday it will give more stability to the midfield.

"The boys are all geared up to bounce back after a defeat, Colaco said.

JCT is also struggling to find their form as they lost their opening match to debutante HAL and later drew against Churchill Brothers at home to collect one points from two outings.

They will be playing with one foreigner. JCT has the reputation of doing well against stronger team in the past and coach Parminder Singh is hopefull that his boys will do well against Super Cup winners Dempo tomorrow to gain their confidence.
